Incoloy 800H

Cr content in 800H is usually 15-25%, nickel content is 30-45%, and aluminum and titanium are small. 
800H has unique phase of austenite after cooling fast from high temperature. 
Owing to the high chromium content and nickel content, it has a higher resistance to high temperature corrosion performance in industrial application. 
In the chloride, low concentration of NaOH aqueous solution, high temperature and high pressure water, it has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking performance, so it is used in the manufacture of equipments requiring high resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Incoloy 800H has the following features: 
1.Up to500 in aqueous medium at extremely high temperature it has excellent corrosion resistance.
2.Good resistance to stress corrosion.
3.Very good workability.

Metallographic structure of Incoloy 800H: 
Incoloy 800H is face-centered cubic lattice structure.Very low carbon content and reasonable Ti: C ratio increases the stability of the structure and the largest sensitization resistance and resistance ability to intergranular corrosion. low temperature annealing around950guarantees the fine crystal structure.

Incoloy 800H process performance and requirements: 
Hot working

The temperature range of1200 ~950 , the cooling way of water quenching or air cooling rapidly.

To get the best performance and creep resistance, it is a nessisity to carry on the solid solution treatment after hot working.

The material can be directly put into of the oven of temperature up to1200, experiences hot working in the specified temperature range if only with enough soaking time. reheated if the temperature drops to below the hot working temperature.
Cold working

The work hardening rate is greater than austenitic stainless steel, so you need to choose processing equipment.Cold working materials should be solution heat treatment state, and should be the middle annealing when cold processing capacity is larger.

If the cold deformation rate is more than 10%, solution treatment should be implemented for the next cold defromation.

Incoloy800H welding process 
Suitable to apply any traditional welding process with the same material or other metal welding, such as gas tungsten arc welding, plasma arc welding and manual arc welding, metal inert gas protection welding, melting inert gas protection welding, including pulse arc welding is the preferred solution.If use manual arc welding, it is recommended to use (Ar + He + CO2 + H2) as a protective gas.
