The corrosion resistance of Inconel 625:
625 alloy in many medium showed excellent corrosion resistance.In chloride medium it have excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and erosion performance.Has the very good resistance to corrosive inorganic acid, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, with alkali in the oxidation and reduction environment and organic acid corrosion performance.Effective resistance to chloride ion reducing stress corrosion cracking.In sea water and the environment in industrial gases, almost do not produce corrosion of sea water and salt solution with high corrosion resistance, at high temperature as well.No sensitivity during the welding process.In a static or circulation environment have carbide and oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance to chlorine gas. 

 

Application of Inconel 625 are:
After softening annealing, low-carbon alloy 625 is widely used in chemical process industries, its good corrosion resistance and high strength make it used as the structure of the thinner parts. 625 alloy can be used in contact with the water and under the occasion of high mechanical stress.Typical applications are:
1. Contain chlorinated organic components of chemical process process, especially in the use of acid chloride catalyst.
2. Used in the manufacture of pulp and paper industry of digester and bleaching pool.
3. The flue gas desulfurization absorption tower in the system, then heater, gas imports baffle, fan (wet), mixer, guide plate and the flue, etc.
4. Used in the manufacture of equipment used in acidic gas environment and parts.
5. The acetic acid and acetic anhydride reaction generator.
6. Sulfuric acid condenser.
